This is a college project created for the print and illustration subject at Iscom, Paris. Our assignment consisted in creating an editorial object based on our own interpretation of paintings by renowned artists such as Botticelli, Egon Schiele and Velázquez, among others. We had to find a common thread between them that justified the project.
My proposal examines the conection between artworks made by artists and those created by nature, as well as the bonds that human beings establish with each. The question posed is "where does the creative energy come from?"
I would like to paint as a bird sings. Claude Monet

* The book has a handmade japanese binding and it is composed by two kinds of paper: a 170 gr paper and a translucid one. The latter is used for the illustrations inspired in nature, in order to see the final illustration through them.
